Kalinchowk Cable Car

Today Kalinchowk has become religious and tourist destination in Nepal. It is famous for Goddess shrine Kalinchowk Bhagwati and her temple lies on the top of Kalinchok Hill at 3755 meters height above the sea level. Similarly, it is located Kalinchowk VDC, Dolakha District of Nepal which comes under Gaurishankar Conservation Area.

Recenty, Kalinchwok Darshan Limited has introduced Cable Car from Kuri Gaun to Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple. It took them 2 years to build this project which is third practice in Nepal after Manakamana Cable Car and Chandaragiri Hills Cable Car. Similarly, the length of Kalinchowk cable car is 900 meters in horizontal and 950 meters in inclined lengths. It takes nearly 5 minutes for one way to reach the top and the same duration to return.

The Kalinchowk cable car price is Rs 500 per passenger. The best snowfall time in Kalinchowk is between October to February where the chances of snowfall are very high. You can take motorbike or jeep or bus to go to Kalinchowk .

Short Itinerary

Day 01: Motorbike ride or Jeep drive (4WD) from Kathmandu to Kalinchowk via Dolakha, overnight at Kuri Gaun,

Day 02: Kalinchowk Bhagwati Darsan and back to Kathmandu.

Normal Itinerary

Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Dolakha,

Day 02: Drive from Dolakha to Kuri Gaun, Kalinchowk Bhagwati Darsan and back to Dolakha,

Day 03: Drive back to Kathmandu.
