Dangerous Road In Nepal
We all known the several dangerous roads around the world but only few people know that there is also the most terrifying road in Nepal. This road is located to the
north part of Annapurna range at Timang Village, which is on the way to Manang. It is 95.8 KM starting from Besisahar (a municipality in Lamjung District in Gandaki
Zone) to Manang at 3, 776 meters above to sea level. This road used to be one of the ancient trekking trial as well as famous hotspot for adventurous mountaineering in
Nepal. Until few years back this road was still an old mule trail.
This dangerous road goes through a waterfall on the cliff side. It is rushing river when there is overflow in waterfall which is the most daring thrill and it can even
flow anything away, even a big jeep. This road is also known as the world’s wildest road that leads into the Himalayas. If you are planning or have planned, then you
can trek which is recommended for the nature and trekking lover. Similarly, 4WD ride or motorbike (only dirt bikes) can be next option. At some places, the road goes
into a vertical cliff with falls of around 500 meters vertical down. Please note that this road is no more than two to three meters wide.
The road is very steep, narrow and zig-zag that only the professional or the local drivers can drive through it. Even the brave enough passengers are needed to travel
on this road because they need enough courage to bear narrow ledge chiseled into the side of cliffs. Likewise, the most parts of the river runs through the MarsyangdΓ
River.
Beside this dangerous road, this place is very famous for trekking and mountaineering. The last point of this road is Manang which is covered with mountains and
beautiful scenarios. Also the amazing view of mountains, landscapes and the surrounding will encourage you to move forward.
